Park Planning Associates worked as part of a multidisciplinary team to identify natural and cultural resources, develop an interpretive program and propose a phased site development plan for an important 200 acre parcel in. The site contains significant environmental and cultural resources as well as depicting an important story of native American land ownership. Our role was to design the site development plan, prepare cost estimates and graphics for use in communicating the plan to the public and for use in grant writing to obtain support for implementation.

Some of the plan proposals included a comprehensive signage program, website, downloadable podcasts and maps, a series of loop trails to better distribute use through the site, a wetland boardwalk, an all persons interpretive trail, group orientation and gathering areas, habitat enhancements, and cultural resource stabilization and protection.
